Susan Love, LCSW, received her formal training in clinical social work at Loyola University School of Social Work. As a psychotherapist, Susan has helped adults, children, and adolescents, and seniors navigate and heal the pain of depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship difficulties, challenges at school and work, and more.
Susan creates an environment of connection, love, and acceptance within the therapeutic relationship, and uses a strengths-based approach that incorporates self-management skills such as mindfulness. She holds the space for the client’s pain while illuminating the path for them to their true, strong, joyful self.
Susan spent several years working for Da Vinci Waldorf School. In this role, she worked closely with parents and saw first-hand how difficult it has become for parents to navigate the challenges of parenting in our modern world. Because she saw a great need for support and education for parents, she became certified as a parent coach with A.C.P.I. and as a Simplicity Parenting coach and counselor.
Susan is also a mother, a stepmother, and an actor. You can learn more at www.SusanDLove.com
